Data Scientist

Description: the core of our business is being able to easily analyze data and make predictions. We are looking for a team member who is familiar with existing data science tools, with a particular interest in machine learning. You will be joining a team of developers and researchers who are excited about predicting the future and changing how analytics is done.

Interested in helping out? Here's what we're looking for:

• Advanced degree in computer science, statistics, or related fields (note that talented undergraduates are also welcome)
• Ability to learn new modeling techniques and implement experimental algorithms
• Understanding of object-oriented programming. Experience/comfort with Java a plus
• Excitement about working with a large number of data sets and looking for patterns across these data sets

Backend Engineer

Description: we're developing a fully operational analytics engine that works with multiple databases, multiple data sources, and lots of tools that focus on modeling and analytics. You'll help us build the core engine, and enable it to speak with our web-based interfaces. You'll be joining a team of 3 other developers and will help innovate in a very exciting area of research.

Interested in helping out? Here's what we're looking for:

• Excellent skills in Java
• Comfort working with databases and Java-based database connections (e.g., JDBC)
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Apache Cassandra)
• Experience in Java-based machine learning platforms a plus (e.g., Weka, Mahout)
